Tencent Holdings Limited, the owners of a Chinese Internet Portal and Globe7 HK, a web 2.0 development company have signed a strategic partnership to launch a website called “Longhaier”.
The site will create an opportunity for students to share info and communicate with each other. Site will feature online forum, campus info, web-based games and other interactive Web applications.
It will also help students to prepare for academic testing, provide information on studying abroad, job placement and scholarship opportunities.
Martin Lau, President of Tencent Inc. “Longhaier will contribute to the popularity of other QQ products, such as QQ Instant Messenger, QQ Mail and QQ Games. This will be a great opportunity to showcase our promotional strengths and showcase our approach to building a friendly Internet community.”
