Nokia unveils 4 new models

Nokia, the world leader in mobile phone manufacturing announced the launch of four new mobile phones at the “Growing Together 2008″ conference held in Johannesburg (South Africa). These new models are expected to hit the market by Second quarter (Nokia 5000 and Nokia 1680) and Third quarter (Nokia 7070 and Nokia 2680) of the year(2008).
Nokia 5000
Nokia 5000 is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, mp3 ringtones, FM Radio (recording facility), high resolution QVGA (Quarter Video Graphics Array) display, email accessibility, Bluetooth, GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) connectivity, It would also include Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, a feature first introduced in Nokia 6101 models which enables users to record and send voice messages with the help of GPRS connection. Nokia 5000 is estimated to be priced at 90 Euros (US$141 approximately)
Nokia 7070 Prism
Nokia 7070 Prism is a stylish folding design with geometric patterns and external light effects. Users can personalize themes, wallpapers and Mp3 grade ringtones. This model includes voice recording and hands-free speaker. Estimated retail price is 50 Euros (US$ 78 approximately)
Nokia 2680 slide
Nokia 2680 slide is a sliding model, the first of its kind to hit the emerging markets. This model is easy to use, supports mp3 ringtones, FM functionality with recording facility, integrated digital camera and features an expanded phone book. Nokia 2680 is expected to be priced at 75 Euros (US$ 117 approximately).
Nokia 1680 classic
Nokia 1680 classic is targeted for users who are in search of “Cheap and Best mobiles”. The model includes basic mobile features with a digital camera. Nokia 1680 classic allows easy access to email, includes VGA camera, video-recording feature and phone sharing capabilities. The estimated price is 50 Euros (US$ 78 approximately).
These mobiles are suitable for emerging markets and especially for replacement purchases. Nokia believes that there would be more number of replacement purchases than the first-time buyers in emerging markets (China, India, Middle East and Africa).
