Pizza.com sold for $2.6 million

By webmaster | April 8, 2008

Pizza.com was sold by an American named Chris Clark for $2.6 million to an anonymous company. Clark had registered this valuable domain in June 1994. He said that this would make a significant difference in his life and also regretted that he didn’t register other generic domains in 1990s.

Knowing the fact that Vodka.com was sold for $3 million, Clark listed the domain in auction at Sedo.com, one of the leading domain name market place where one can buy and sell domains. Sedo also runs a domain parking program wherein users can earn money if they have a traffic domain.

Clark started the auction on March 27, 2008 with the first bid of $100. At the end of the auction, the domain pizza.com was sold for $2.6 million.
